Elizabeth A. Opps
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Opps, age 72, of the Township of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh.
She was born June 29, 1952, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Edward and Murial Garoutte Gake. Betty was a 1970 graduate of Waukesha High School and attended UW-Whitewater. On September 18, 1976, she was united in marriage to Gerald Opps in Waukesha.
Betty worked in the healthcare field as a CNA. She loved spending time with her family and riding her golf cart through the garden.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughter, Emily (Christopher) Tryba; son, Jeremy (Nikki) Opps; three grandchildren, Kylie, Reid and Henry; four brothers, Lee, Louis, Robert and Edward Gake; sister, Susie Barricelli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Loyal Gake.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorials may be directed to Green Lake Area Animal Shelter.
