Lincoln W. Betler

Lincoln Wayne “Linc” Betler, age 80, of Marion, died peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Ascension NE Wisconsin-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

He was born October 17, 1944, in Cooperstown, NY, the son of Howard and Ellen Heald Betler. Linc was a 1962 graduate of Berlin High School and attended UW-River Falls. On June 28, 1964, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Karen Thorsen, at First Baptist Church in Berlin.

Linc worked for Wilson Hurd for over 24 years before becoming the owner of Linc’s Electric. He worked side-by-side with his son until he retired in 2022. Linc loved spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen; one son, Don (Dawn) Betler; one daughter, Kathy (Peter) Blaas; three grandchildren, Kristian Blaas (Lee Bowman), Makena Betler (Jake Calgaro) and Kailee (Peter) Merritt; one great-grandchild, Monica Merritt; and two sisters, Judy Williams and Karen Thorp. Linc was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wesley Betler.

Per Linc’s wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorials may be directed to an animal shelter of your choice.
