Kenneth D. Krentz

Kenneth Donald Krentz, age 78, Princeton, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

He was born November 29, 1945, at home on the family farm near Princeton, WI, the youngest child of Donald and Irene Lashock Krentz. Ken attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Princeton High School. After school, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Ken did road construction for several years. He and Marj did cash-crop farming and custom crop harvesting. Ken was also a sales rep with Pioneer Hi Bred Seed Company for 32 years. He loved deer hunting and the outdoors. Ken was a lifelong member and perennial usher at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton.

He is survived by his sister, Grace Nickodem; twelve nephews, including Dan (Patty) Rosenmeier, Andy (Connie) Nickodem and Joe Krentz; six nieces; sister-in-law, Bernadette Krentz; brother-in-law, Jim Rosenmeier; cousins, Gilbert (Darlene) Krentz and David (the late Donna) Krentz; and longtime farming friend and companion, Marjorie Brooks. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Frank and Anna Marshall Krentz and Martin and Johanna Lashock; four siblings, Shirley Rosenmeier, Carol Schlaefer, Gordon Krentz and Lambert Krentz; nieces, Donna Krentz and Nancy Nickodem; and nephew Matt Schlaefer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Father John Silva officiating. Military honors will be held following the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. A memorial has been established.
