Thomas P. "Tommy" Phelps

Thomas Peter “Tommy” Phelps, age 48, of Redgranite, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

He was born January 28, 1975, in Wautoma, WI, the son of Lawrence and Alice Leone Phelps. Tommy was a 1994 graduate of Wautoma High School. On August 25, 2017, he was united in marriage to Heather Patri at Willow Creek Park in Redgranite.

Tommy was an over-the-road truck driver for commercial transportation companies and hauled corn and beans for various farms in the area. He was a mechanic who loved to tinker around in his shop. When he wasn’t tinkering, he loved to be outside riding his Harley.

Harry Nimmer Jr.

Harry Nimmer Jr., age 90, of Berlin, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

He was born May 14, 1933, in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Harry Sr. and Adela Luebke Nimmer. On August 20, 1976, he was united in marriage to Gladys Mae Quimby at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin. Harry Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was stationed in Korea for over a year.

Mark A. Wilde

Mark Andrew Wilde, age 56, of Auroraville, was taken from us far too soon as the result of a heart attack on Friday, September 22, 2023.

He was born March 27, 1967, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Lance and Nancy Reeck Wilde. Mark was a 1985 graduate of Oshkosh North High School.

Mark began his career as a skilled machinist starting at Enterprise Steel Fab , before working for 30 years at Kingsbury, Inc., retiring as a computer programmer. He was a hard worker in all that he did. Mark enjoyed cutting down trees and creating massive wood piles for his wood burning outdoor furnace.

Lucille A. "Tootie" Nitzke

Lucille Ann “Tootie” Nitzke, age 84, of Berlin, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born June 19, 1939, in Berlin, the daughter of Clifford and Lucille Piekarski Kalupa. She was a 1957 graduate of Berlin High School and attended Wisconsin State University (Oshkosh). On October 1, 1960, she was united in marriage to Stuart Nitzke.

John A. Warren

John Andrew Warren, age 69, of Berlin, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Peabody Manor in Appleton.

He was born December 29, 1953, in Neenah, WI, the son of Richard and Clare Geiger Warren. John was a 1973 graduate of Berlin High School.

Jayne E. Kersten

Jayne E. Kersten, age 72, of Berlin, was called to the Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, with her husband at her side.

She was born October 14, 1950, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Richard and Margaret Spillman Frauenhoff. Jayne attended St. Paul Lutheran School and was a graduate of East Aurora High School. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in River Forest. On August 4, 1973, she was united in marriage to Robert Kersten at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past August.

Loren D. Fritz

Loren Dale Fritz, 80, of Waupaca, was called by his Heavenly Father to his eternal home quickly on Sunday, September 3, 2023, after battling cancer.

Loren was born to Paul and Mrytle Witt Fritz, the fourth of five children—Leonard, Kenneth, Lois, and Dennis—on May 30, 1943, in Omaha, Neb. God clothed him in Christ’s righteousness and adopted him to be part of his family of believers through the water and Word of Baptism at Garden of Gethsemane, in Omaha, Neb.

Evva F. Miller

Evva Frances Miller, age 97, of Oshkosh, passed peacefully in the arms of her Savior on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Evergreen Manor in Oshkosh.

She was born April 10, 1926, in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn and Opal Weaver Bogart. Evva was a 1944 graduate of Melmore High School in Melmore, Ohio. On November 4, 1944, she was united in marriage to Forrest Miller in Little Rock, Arkansas. Evva worked for Sears in Berlin and Miles Kimball in Oshkosh.
