Theresa E. Ottman

Theresa Edna Ottman, age 84, of Berlin, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Juliette Manor in Berlin with her family at her side.

She was born July 4, 1931, in Town of Warren, the daughter of Robert C. and Edna Ludwig Gonyo. On November 28, 1953, she was united in marriage to Norbert Ottman at St. Michael Catholic Church in Berlin.

Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took pride in her home and was a very religious person. Theresa was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite. She also enjoyed doing a lot of volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband, Norbert; three sons, Michael (Julie) Ottman, Patrick (Mary Ellen) Ottman and Thomas (Linda) Ottman; one daughter, Kathleen (Douglas) Rodencal; six grandchildren, Jonathan Ottman, Ryan (Meredith) Ottman, Anna Ottman (fiancé Jason Zeller), Amanda Ottman, Matthew Ottman, and Melissa (Jason) Weiland; and one great-grandchild, Jack Weiland. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite, with Father Jason Blahnik officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. A memorial has been established. The family wishes to thank the staff at Juliette Manor and Agnesian Hospice Hope.
